Biden Announces John Kerry As Special Presidential Envoy For Climate

As Biden announces his cabinet – one name from the Obama administration stands out.

Having been involved in the Paris Climate Accords, John Kerry was Joe Biden’s pick for a new role as ‘Special Presidential Envoy for Climate’.

Biden said that America will now “have a seat at every table around the world” as the climate crisis deepens.

There has been blunt criticism from many regarding Joe Biden’s commitment to countering climate change, having sent out mixed messages regarding his position on coal and fracking.

Under the Obama administration, Biden helped give out $34 billion in loans for global fossil fuel projects, sending unclear signals having claimed to stand for green energy in the face of climate breakdown. Only time will tell.
