Singer Pollena drags forth a blade of nostalgia to cut through lockdown towards a future of hope.
‘Glitter‘ is an electronic wonder of synths and gentle base that executes a message of aspiration to move past the gloom of lockdown into a light of esteem. Described as a ‘kaleidoscopic soundscape’ Pollena‘s new work is unrestrained and feels as free as it sounds through its playful and curing tones that raise a sense of what can be. Drama is kept well away from her latest and is a remission from the past year.
Immediately, from the get-go, Pollena delves into high-fantasy, guided by a free-spirited awakening. She said of the song: “It’s been so long since we’ve been allowed to get together and just let go. Glitter is sort of a memory of what that was like through a blurry lens. But it’s also a way for me to say ‘just hold on’ because we’re going to get through it and it’s going to be amazing again.”
The track is produced by Tom Andrews who recently worked with Landromat.
