World leaders at high alert over concerning movements at the border with Russia.
As Russia moves close to what sources say are 100,000 troops at the border with Ukraine, the US signalled it will send navy warships to the Black Sea.
Under a 1936 treaty with Turkey, the US is required to give 14 days notice before entering, something they have already done. Though Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin’s close ties could make things difficult.
The US continues to monitor the Black Sea for Russian naval movements and the UK is sending FCO communications to civilians to remain cautious.

Two days ago, the open source information collaborative ‘Janes’ published a report recording no less than 14 ground troop units at the border with Ukraine dispatched from other regions.
Other concerning signs include an increased use of GPS jamming technology, a strategy employed by Russian separatists at the start of the war in Ukraine.
