Israeli defence cabinet approves plan late last night to intensify attacks on Hamas targets.
The Israeli defence cabinet will continue to strike the Gaza Strip. 83 Palestinians (17 children) have killed and 7 Israelis.
A truce offer was made via a Russian foreign ministry which Israel rejected. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said a “quartet” of mediators is required to deescalate the situation.
This means air strikes will continue to the detriment of civilians in the area with a possible ground invasion to follow.
Lavrov said: “I think we came to a common conclusion that the most urgent task is calling a meeting of the quartet of international mediators: Russia, the United States, the UN and the European Union” …”And we trust the Secretary-General as the coordinator of the quartet”
Joe Biden said “Israel has a right to defend itself” despite the situation resulting from evictions in Sheikh Jarrah and airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.
