It has been 18 years since the Matrix Revolutions premiered and it seems Neo has some unfinished business.
The Matrix has been an incredible film saga with the power to propagate important questions in society, inspiring movements behind the presentation of old scientific theories that have nudged us into questioning our own reality.
And it’s back! The trailer begins with a bewildered Neo, questioning reality taking what appears to be the blue pill he was offered prior at the beginning of his journey with Morpheus.
But, as the trailer continues, he is seen taking the red pill followed by quintessential Matrix martial arts, explosions and choreography but Trinity and Neo don’t seem to know each other (though that seems to change). One thing I’m excited for, is what appears to be an embrace of practical effects.
The film stars Keanu Reeves, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Carrie Anne-Moss, Cristina Ricci, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Neil Patrick Harris.
