Part two of the Dune saga is due for release this year.
The teaser trailer began with Timotheé Chalamet digging into the dunes of a desert before jettisoning into a series of film portraits of the main cast which include Javier Bardem, Zendaya and Dave Bautista. The teaser attempted to stir up its audience through an atmospheric ploy to create hype for the full length trailer, allowing us to see more of the adaptation for Frank Herbert’s epic book series.
Though many enjoyed the film, there are also those who did not. There is not a general consensus that it achieved its aims but perhaps the sequel will bare fruits that were not ripe for the first instalment, where director Denis Villeneuve, appears to have put his own agenda of landscapes and artistry before the film’s story.
