New music is an “ode” to Hip-Hop in its 50th year of existence.
Featuring sampled ad-libs of DMX haunting the track throughout, Swizz Beatz assembles a unit of talent who have made their mark deserving of a place on his latest, a posse cut alongside renowned names in the game.
Featuring the vocal facilities of Jadakiss, who opens up to set the tone, it follows with appearances from Benny The Butcher and Scar Lip. Their lyrical inclusion is of great importance because Beatz’ lackluster production isn’t really one worth remembering.
Though it is Hip-Hop’s 50th year in existence, it doesn’t feel as though there have been any lengths by the media to celebrate the enormity of its contribution to both the arts and popular culture. So thankfully, Mass Appeal has supported the release of Swizz Beatz’ EP ‘Hip Hop 50′ Volumes 1 & 2 and other projects.
