The duo release music that doesn’t speak much for the game or the genre, except, perhaps the efforts of its marketing.
One is prolific, the other – underwhelming at best with a flow that generically blends in with his contemporaries and a writing style that demeans other artists who put the time in.
Having shown up to Balamii’s studios to perhaps indirectly promote their work, and a best friends forever style build up, Dave and Central Cee did well for a low notice release.
But, as it turns out, this is a release where Dave does his best to make Central Cee look better than he actually is, and there is less of a collaboration here thanks to a low skill profile from ‘Cench’.
The track, titled ‘Sprinter’ offloads the ideas of a wealthy lifestyle with little more to say here than that. But as Central Cee fades out from his introduction, Dave jumps back in to a sigh of relief for a work that could be better, and falters thanks to the incompatible pairing of the two.
The production, is a little more if not as common as it gets, with snares that snap less than Central Cee’s efforts. Thank goodness for our man Dave.
We don’t get what the commotion is here. Perhaps Reddit’s echo chamber has now spilled out into the mainframe of mainstream music. No one wants to say the obvious for fear of being shouted down.
