To coincide with the release of the Barbie movie, Ice Spice & Nicki Minaj attempt music for the soundtrack.

A big sigh is on the way once again inspired by the wretched vocals of two of Hip-Hop’s most annoyingly awful concepts. None of what the two perpetuate in the game has increased upwards in any way, and they continue to the belittlement of Hip-Hop itself.

Releasing a CGI laden music video full of plastic and synthetic blueprints, both rappers fail to up their material in any way, shape or form. Riding around with a ‘what they do’ energy, the rappers flex and pose for the camera in a way that makes for eye roll viewing. There isn’t much to pick apart here, and the sad thing about it is the pair probably know what it is they’re doing to the detriment of Hip-Hop itself.

Why on Earth this movie was green lit for development is anyone’s guess, but what’s worse, is the knock on effect it has stimulated on all that looms around it. Including Hip-Hop.

Failing to create anything worthy of acclaim, Ice Spice puts out the blandest of flows once more, and Nicki Minaj, to her credit ups her game against a pretender though still low balls in comparison.

For the record, this single should not be given the credit being showered upon it, considering its content. How long will this circus continue is anyone’s guess.
