The rapper partners up with Fredo for new track

Stormzy is on a roll. Following mixed reviews of his latest drop, This is What I Mean, it’s clear his strengths lie in his musical roots as heard on new track Toxic Trait.

The video features Alison Hammond —which, doesn’t really make a difference in my opinion. Despite our negativity, this song is good and worth listening to. We just wish he put the same energy into his last long play.

Director of the video, Femi Ladi said: “After listening to the lyrics, I wanted to have fun with this video. I liked the idea of bringing a renaissance-style painting to life, whilst still feeling grounded in the world of Stormzy.”…“We collaborated on all the scenarios together which was great – as well as being able to bring in the likes of Fredo and Alison Hammond for their own toxic therapy sessions!”
