Tom Cruise says it is “the biggest stunt in cinema history” featuring a train, a cliff and some incredible feats of movie know-how.
The final trailer for Mission: Impossible 7 has been released and from what it seems, there is a lot to live up to in Hollywood from now on. No doubt Christopher Nolan will be watching with envy, a director known for asking for authenticity in his productions. But what Tom Cruise and directing partner Christopher McQuarrie appear to have achieved is beyond the depths of cinema dares.
What is Mission: Impossible 7 about?
The movie, titled Dead Reckoning Part One, alludes to an obvious sequel in which Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt must track down a dangerous weapon to prevent ominous forces from gaining access to it. It stars veteran MI saga actors Ving Rhames, and Henry Czerny, as well as Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett and Nicholas Holt.
In the final trailer, a behind-the-scenes extra shows viewers on a tour around the set where Paramount Pictures greenlit the crew’s idea for a huge stunt – driving a train off a huge mountain in Hellsylt, Norway. Though, it remains to be seen how much of it is CGI.
Cruise is no stranger to performing his own stunts, he famously jumped across a building in London only to break his leg though continued with the rest of the scene.
When will it be released and is it available to stream?
Dead Reckoning is out Wednesday 12th July with limited screening but will be available nationwide from Friday in theatres. It will not be available to stream until its cinema run concludes.
