High Focus Records launches first single in the run up to Delarge’s debut album.

In a post to Instagram, the rapper says to “join me in the garden of earthly delights…” as his boom bap ethereal beat simmers in the background amongst a sea of visuals captured by @searle.visual.

AM to AM is the first promo single taken from his debut album titled ‘Alecs In Wonderland’, and is filled with enduring snares and blaring horns that encapsulate the crust of a classic in the making.

Speaking on the release, the Norfolk based artist states his latest piece was written “…during a year of hedonistic isolation whilst exiled to a forgotten mining village”, describing it is as a “…custom built version of The Matrix; a perfect world created to escape the one outside my council flat window.”

The production is something that will excite many thanks to its idiosyncrasies that have been mixed, mastered and produced by Delarge himself. Featuring an array of instruments that will sustain his listeners, the music master has enveloped his own sound here, which is hopefully a sign of things to come.

It is a follow-up from his prior collaboration with King Kashmir titled The Album To End All Alien Abductions.

It features an instrumental of the single. Alecs In Wonderland is due to be released 22/09/2023 and will also be made available on cassette, vinyl and CD.
