Diddy Drops ‘The Love Album: Off The Grid’ & New Single ‘Another One Of Me’ | Music

Nicknamed “Diddy Day”, Sean Combs excites fans as he reveals the glitz and glam we all know him for.

The Bad Boy rapper’s new single summons an atmosphere from a 1990s style hip-hop visual, straight from the playbook of a Busta Rhymes/Missy Elliot video.

The lead song is taken from his new album The Love Album: Off The Grid, and features appearances from French Montana, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage.

Where can I stream the new album?

You can stream the new album and the music video for the lead single via Spotify (below), YouTube, or alternatively, from any other streaming site including Apple Music.

Who features on it?

The album is positioned as an R&B/Soul project featuring a plethora of artists including: Busta Rhymes, Jozzy, The-Dream, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Teyana Taylor, Kalenna Harper and the self proclaimed king of features Ty Dolla $ign.

The album is made up of 23 tracks primarily produced by Diddy.

Who directed the lead video?

In charge of the production is James Larese, the director responsible for visualisers for Megan Thee Stallion, Lil’ Wayne, Eminem, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg.

The video features a dynamic filter of special effects, resurrecting a mood from Bad Boy Records’ prime years.

Is this the final collaboration of The Weeknd’s career?

According to Diddy’s latest teaser reel (see below), this appears to be the case, though highly doubtful.

In an interview with W Magazine, the singer revealed he isn’t retiring, but rebranding his name.

Considering featured appearances are a lucrative way to market one’s own work, he will no doubt be back, and soon.

What is Another One Of Me about?

The song hones in on the idea that without risk, the spoils of love fail to render. Each artist chimes in with their own perspective, including 21 Savage, who wrestles with commitment issues, followed by French Montana who details his own troubles. Diddy verbalises his own problems while chronicling growth and a personal evolution.

The Weeknd lends his vocals to the track, which amalgamates an interesting parlour of styles that seem to work despite there being a lot going on here.
