Wired agrees with the advantages of USB-C and the lighter design due to titanium, and appreciates the addition of the ‘Action Button’ and the Pro Max’s impressive battery life.

The Verge commended its camera improvements, particularly the 5x lens, and found the phones are lighter and more comfortable to hold. However, they observe a higher starting price and note that the included USB-C cable lacks fast data transfer support. As for Engadget, they also emphasized the iPhones’ smaller and lighter design and highlighted the phones’ support for console-level gaming but mentioned that some may find the colourations rather uninspiring.

Reports of marginalization, persecution, and accusations of genocide against the Uyghurs have raised ethical concerns regarding companies operating within China.
