Syrian War Opens Up on New Fronts

The Middle East’s forgotten front has seen a recent increase in activity.

Following a string of reports indicating that coalition forces were under attack, Syria’s forgotten line of contact has fast become a focal point concurrently alongside Israel’s bombardment of occupied Palestine.

In the wake of shelling and air strikes by Tel Aviv, it is rumoured Iran’s government has sought to bolster Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon, who Tehran is closely allied with.

In the city of “Sarmin,” situated to the east of Idlib, Syria, a disturbing development unfolded as forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launched an attack. What made this attack particularly unsettling was the use of munitions loaded with incendiary materials.

Coalition base under attack again

Two deafening explosions reverberated through the international coalition base located at the Conoco gas plant in northeastern Deirezzor, underscoring the tense atmosphere in the region. The incident has raised questions about the security and stability of the area, which plays a crucial role in the global energy landscape.

It is rumoured that Iranian backed factions are behind the incursions, though the exact group directing them remains unclear.

United States issues statement on Iranian supported attack

The United States, on the other hand, has been confronted with challenges in the Middle East, as American forces in Iraq and Syria came under attack.

In response to these threats, President Joe Biden delivered a direct message to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The White House revealed that the President had sternly warned against targeting U.S. personnel in the region.
