Karl Sage & GG Peney – “Street Chemistry” | Music Reviews

UK hip-hop duo fire back a volley of high class boom bap music.

Following his comeback smash ‘Alfresco’, rapper Karl Sage and producer GG Peney once again carve up a beat that plays to the descriptive elements of the city.

Karl Sage himself took the helm to create the cover art for his latest drop, with visuals that showcase an air of uncertainty. The artwork inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat highlights the chaotic void of a metropolis, through patterns of smoke like samples.

“Street Chemistry” resurrects hopeful periods of a more artistic palette and canvas from a better time in hip-hop. One thing we are guaranteed from the duo is purpose over misadventure, through firkins of avant-garde music. The latter is something the industry is all too happy with through feigned attempts at artistry.

This time the London rapper has pushed the boundaries once again to elucidate both his depth and romance for the genre. Their latest piece of lightning is available on all major streaming platforms.
