The Crow (2024) Trailer Dropped and It Looks Like Garbage | Film

Another reboot that needs to be thrown to the woodchipper – The Crow remake looks to be nothing more than a vanity project.

If they can kill the Batwoman movie, surely they can do the same for this one? A remake of a film that can hold its own does not need to be reproduced for modern audiences. That should be left for murmur-inducing films that perhaps did not get the support they needed at the time.

Another Terrible Remake

It goes to show that Hollywood is either running out of ideas, or never had them in the first place. The malleability of its engine is as bendy as a diamond, thanks to writers that clearly falter at the request of ‘can we have something new, please?’

Its director, Rupert Sanders, is responsible for such abominations as ‘Ghost in the Shell’ and ‘Snow White and the Huntsmen.’ So, place your bets on another one of his adaptations to be a sweltering heap of dung.

My prediction is, it’s going to be bad. Not the kind of bad that’s worth watching just to have an opinion, but so awful you’ll wish you could gouge it from your memory.

Who is starring in it?

Starring Bill Skarsgård (who should have known better) and singer FKA Twigs, The Crow’s remake looks to be like the others we’ve seen this past decade, with either producers and directors not understanding the source material, or they sought to recreate ideas they held as kids. Either way, this puppy needs a better home.
