New Pokémon “Twilight Masquerade” Cards Revealed

Also known as ‘Mask of Change’, the new set from the Scarlet & Violet TCG promises stunning artistic rare cards.

Hype for the latest set in the Pokemon trading card game has been low, with some players and collectors opting to skip it all together. But as with every new set, there has been a flurry of artistic presentations.

New full art cards unveiled

Special Illustration Rare cards (or SIRs) have generated interest for a new audience, having inspired intrigue through, what many describe as beautifully crafted new card designs. The latest set from the Pokémon company, “Twilight Masquerade” continues to offer said aesthetics, with some inspired by existing artworks. The new series is due for release mid-May.

Tatsugiri, the lovable Dragon type Pokémon gets one this time, with an illustration likened to Keith Haring’s paintings.
Grass-Dragon type Dipplin can be found in a restaurant for what appears to be assisting his trainer.
Psychic bird type Fezandipiti can be seen spreading its wings against a multi-colour backdrop.

But not all cards of significance are SIR pulls. Ogerpon’s promo card, included with any Elite Trainer Box purchase, has one of the most beautiful designs of the set so far.

The Ogerpon promo card will be available with a Pokémon centre stamp when purchased directly from the store.

The Eevee reveal is touted as the chase card

The reveal that will be the apparent chase card, will be one featuring a bunch of Eevee lounging around on a sofa chair. The piece was first leaked in Japanese and later disclosed in English.

It is a gorgeous soft illustration rare, which any collector will want to own.
