Disney unveils exciting teaser trailer for Noah Hawley’s Xenomorph television series. Fans are divided, but still enthusiastic for an earthbound story.
FX has debuted its first slice of media for “Alien: Earth” with a teaser trailer for the long-awaited project.
Taking the reins is Noah Hawley, who threw his hat in the ring some time ago, and many are excited by the prospect.
The director is responsible for the critically acclaimed television series ‘Fargo’, a collection of stories inspired by the ‘90s movie.
Fans have waited years for a decent Xenomorph outing on Earth and have got their fix from novelisations, most notably Steve Perry’s “Alien: Earth Hive.”
Watch the Trailer Now
Brooding a sinister atmosphere, it has a lot to live up to. The preview features a sunrise over Earth in space, and the familiar sound of water dripping, reminiscent of Ridley Scott’’s 1979 feature.
The image of the blue marble soon reveals itself to be a reflection off the head of the franchise’s antagonist before it swallows the screen, letting out a wailing cry as it does.
What’s The Plot?
The synopsis released alongside the trailer reveals further details that quash rumours of it being a drama set around the politics of the Weyland Yutani corporation.

It reads: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (played by Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat…”
Who Is Starring in it?
Alongside Chandler, the production is set to star Essie Davis, Adrian Edmondson, Kit Young, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Timothy Olyphant, Lily Newmark, Babou Ceesay, Moe Bar-El, David Rysdahl, Alex Lawther, Adarsh Gourav. However, more names are attached to it.
When Will It Be Released?
Production has been marred by several delays. Filming was initially set to begin in 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some sequences were captured in 2023 in Thailand, but were limited due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. Actors and actresses affiliated with the union were not available, so segments they were not involved in were shot instead.
Disney has slated a release for 2025, though an exact date has not yet been revealed. It will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
What Do The Fans Say?
While excitement is in the air, certain forums lean heavily into two camps: one of optimism, and one of scepticism.
Those looking forward to its release are happy with recent feature “Alien: Romulus.” Whereas, fans who are more cautious want a return to its origins with a push for more suspense, atmosphere and less Disney involvement.
One of the main criticisms of Romulus has been its rating, its callbacks and deviation from its roots.
