A star studded cinematic trailer for the new Lego movie featuring The Neptunes frontman is finally here.

That bingo card of movie happenings just keeps slapping us in the face every chance it gets. Who would have thought that 2024 would bring us a biographical Lego movie about Pharrell Williams’ life? The answer is—no one.

Having risen through the ranks as one third of N.E.R.D. and one half of The Neptunes, Pharrell has a huge catalogue of music to his name. Most notably, his groups’ musical endeavours reduced the need to rely on samples, something often distinct in their work.

This year, his debut movie hits the silver screen as a Lego-produced animation, spawning all kinds of merchandise as well as intrigue. If you had told us this would happen twenty years ago, we would have laughed at you. But here we are, and it looks okay.

The story follows Pharrell, using Lego as a vehicle to tell his life story. This means high profile names from the music industry will make an appearance and also perform. What are the odds that ‘Happy’ is on the playlist?

When Is The Movie Out?

The film is slated for a global release in cinemas from October 11th, 2024, and will be distributed by Focus Features.
