Review: Czarface and Kool Keith release new music full of rap goodness.
Today marks the release of Stress Eaters‘ debut alongside Kool Keith and Czarface. The record demonstrates how far they can push the genre with their idiosyncratic flair.
Considering the hip-hop world has evolved into a dimension of varying subgenres, it is refreshing to hear these legends create music of class without compromising on style.

Following the release of the project’s lead single, the collective revealed the tracklist and artwork, which is of the quality we anticipated.
Who Are Stress Eater?
Czarface is a supergroup comprised of Wu-Tang legend Inspectah Deck and the duo 7L and Esoteric, better known as 7LES. This time, they team up with Kool Keith (aka Dr. Octagon and Dr. Dooom). Together, they’re Stress Eater.
Inspired by comic book villains, the artists continue their stylistic concepts in the studio for their latest jaunt Everybody Eats!, aligned with incredible artwork that complements the theme.

Previous albums also reflect the same motif, using comic book art with the music’s content. The crew have even gone so far as to include limited edition and exclusive releases, that feature action figures (some selling in the thousands) produced by Super7 and a graphic novel adaptation. Thert have even produced merchandise which includes a lunchbox, cassettes and trading cards.
What Does It Sound Like?
The album magnifies their brand of stylistic tropes, established since the group’s inception. It includes bangers like Here’s Some Homicide, featuring the legend Ice-T, and the lead single Rocket Science. As always, Kool Keith is a pungent force, and a renewing energy within the scene. This continues throughout the record.
Cold Wave slows the tempo, adding a phase of relaxed snares and tangy guitar twangs. Deck waxes lyrical to a signature flow only he can produce. Some of the interludes, like People Want Sugar and Off The Bone, deserve to be tracks of their own, so hopefully, they’ll release a remixes of both.
Featuring a wealth of turntablism and masterful rhyme patterns, it’s a fun drop that returns to the basics of hip-hop, making it an easy listen with some incredible wordplay.
Verdict
In a colourful production, it can be described as a resurrection of class. Filled with some of the genre’s most prolific beatmakers and rappers, there is a cadence and formula to aspire to. The ambience is a cloud like sensation, immeasruably substantial.
Friday has been flooded with many releases, but Everybody Eats offers an alternative to the plastic we’re often force-fed. Czarface’s production is a solid effort, while Kool Keith dominates the rhyme schemes, delivering intelligent verses of exceptional calibre. It’s one you need to stream today.
Where To Buy The Vinyl
This dope album can be purchased from Record Plant as a double LP at the current price of £30.99. It will eventually be available to purchase from the group’s official website.
You can stream the release on Spotify and Apple Music.
