Following the announcement of a new album titled Lotus, this fresh release is her third single this year, not including the smash, Hello, Hi.

The track is produced by the music collective SAULT, known for their multi-genre sound. This time, their assistance of Simz’s introspection and lyrically probing penmanship augments her artistic engagement, further stirring the hype surrounding her upcoming long-play.

Fans have been quick to note similarities between it and Kendrick Lamar’s “H.O.C,” while also praising the London lyricist’s build-up before she even drops a verse.
