The Manchester rapper collaborates with Sly Moon and Lee Scott for a sensational hip-hop track
The Manchester rapper is back once again as he collaborates with Sly Moon on a Lee Scott-produced track, Flu Game. To coincide with the release, the hip-hop team dropped a music video directed by Hyde.
What Flu Game Sounds Like
The title is inspired by a basketball term referring to peak performance, despite a visible illness. Michael Jordan himself is famous for pushing through food poisoning in the 1997 NBA finals, which is what likely inspired the duo’s fresh single.
It’s a boom-bap vibe coupled with a triumphant cargo of laid-back lyrical executions. Josh is in his pedigree on a track–taken from his new album YSL Bootleg–that displays the character you’d expect from the UK rapper.

Known for his flawless and effortless dispatches, he continues in this vein and partners with Sly Moon, who switches things up as he features to supplement the well-positioned lead vocalist. Ethereal beats bounce against a confident verbal delivery, as the two trade bars over comparisons of their skill alongside humorous narratives about their personal lives.
Verdict
It’s rap firing on all cylinders. Without overwhelming the audience through a useless indulgence of production (you know what I’m talking about), Josh achieves a fire track with purpose, and every single notch of music is deliberate and expertly driven.
The song’s hook, which reads, “feeling myself, even when I’m not feeling myself” is a callback to a moment in hip-hop where regimented and patterned performances led the listener to enjoy it, as we did.
Where to Listen
You can stream Flu Game on most platforms, including Bandcamp, where you can purchase the album directly for unlimited streaming. Alternatively, Apple, YouTube Music, Spotify, and Tidal present mainstream options. It is distributed through Blah Records.
