The director has done wonders for streaming hits, Fargo and Legion, making fans of the Alien franchise believe an execution that will do the story justice can be met.
Many felt the saga has been held back by a recession in atmosphere, with CGI taking precedence over practical effects — a feature that made its inception a terrifying sci-fi horror movie. However, that doesn’t appear to be a fear anymore with what one fan described as, “they’re giving out these teasers like candy.”
Social Media Post
In an Instagram post from the official accounts for the project and FX Networks, a caption reads: “Incoming report from Weyland-Yutani. Critical Gestation Complete” in all caps.
The feature showcases what appears to be a bare bones approach, with a back to basics look that cheers in favour of practical effects.
