Collaboration between the two behemoths of streetwear culture let both each other and their fans down
Iconic headgear designer New Era has teamed up with A Ma Maniére for a fresh collection of 59FIFTY fitted caps. With a visibly recognisable style, the two brands are set to open up a new trend of rocking flat peaks. That is, if you buy into the marketing.
What You Need to Know
The luxury streetwear company A Ma Maniére has made a bold move by tapping NE caps, not only for their longevity in the streetwear game, but for their instantly distinctive logo.
This new drop was released in eight colourways and includes embroidered AMM and New Era signature designs. Elements of the drop feature familiar tokens from both entities, though they fall short in several areas—notably originality and reinvention of style.
The Verdict
Buyers will not get what they pay for here. There’s a routine to the products that doesn’t nudge us in the right direction to part ways with our hard-earned cash.
No doubt, if you were to buy one, you’ll likely find yourself wondering why you didn’t purchase a New Era cap alone instead. The embroidery is a nice touch, but once again, there is little to be excited by.
How to Buy
Priced at approximately $60 each, they’re available to buy at A Ma Maniére’s webstore.
