Homeboy Sandman teams up with UK rapper Sonnyjim for a smoky work of impressive music.
Their fresh drop, Sound & Fury, is a collaborative release that we hope will spark a long-term partnership.
What Sound & Fury Sounds Like
The pair release at a time when the genre’s menu is stacked, but the quality of what’s on offer is subpar. With production by Sonnyjim, the New York rapper glides with narrative over a sleek, aloe vera sound.

He continues with a descriptive playhouse steeped in a pulse of calculated rhyme. His slow-baked, caviar style wordplay takes shape through a metronome-like discourse—relentless in disposition, formidable yet enthralling.
Its composition perfectly syncs with the aesthetic signature employed by the lyricist, and thanks to the UK producer, it breathes a distinct cultural shift into his game. Featuring blaring horns, layered percussion, and anticipatory hi-hats, the beat is the perfect choice for Villar.
The Verdict
This is a good outing, though will suit particular tastes—largely those invested in the tenets of rhymes schemes and their pageantry.
