The R&B artist drops new track Dior that doesn’t quite hit the spot
Last updated: 12th July 2025
Reuben Aziz has released new single, Dior, a track that continues to fuse rap and R&B at a relaxed tempo. Stylistically, it’s of a reserved quality thanks to production that feels texturally somewhat familiar.
What Dior Sounds Like
On a slow-release tempo, its pace could do with a lick of caffeine, thanks to a composition that feels mismatched with the vocalist.

While it’s not intrinsically bad, the vocals can sound adrift and without purpose; this is where some bars could inject a much-needed jolt, helping separate it from a farm of similar-sounding compositions. Instead, faint rap dispatches blend into its vocal execution. With warping basslines and quick-succession snares, the production feels disconnected.
The Verdict
Aziz says this is “for the lover boys” and that he “grew up on ’90s records.” If that’s the aim here, it sounds more 2025 than 1990s. If he’s referring to the intention behind the track, we’ll give him that — though any trace of rap is vacant, and if it’s in there, it’s in disguise.
Overall, it’s a nice song, but clocking in at 2:20, it could be much longer for a track lacking punch. Is it going to stay on our playlist? Probably not, but perhaps it will grow on me. Overall, Dior will likely not stand the test of time, as with a lot of autotune led rap/R&B tracks.
Where to Stream it
You can stream Dior on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
