Big Zuu Drops Poor Eminem Diss with Bizarre ‘Bun Em’

Frugal attempt to light a hip-hop battle with Eminem is a fire he can’t start and ends before it begins

Another rapper/mc, Big Zuu, has thrown his hat into the arena, targeting Eminem with his track “Bun Em‘” — a tawdry attempt to sustain a strange US versus UK battle fiasco that involves the wrong people.

Big Zuu – Bun Em’ (Eminem Diss)

Skepta started this, and it’s not off to a great start for either side. Following his jab at Joyner Lucas, the rapper fired back and slightly edged it. Though both performances were blighted by stubborn wordplay failing to match talk at the weigh in.

Big Zuu’s Diss Track Swings and Misses

Though it’s melodically held together by his flow, the content is a misdemeanour at best. Bun Em’ is a spectacular miss, filled with cliché rhymes and tragic missteps — including a shot at Proof (Eminem’s late best best friend and member of D12). On the whole, it is a shallow mass of lukewarm invitation to run a gauntlet he timidly enters.

Historically, when great US rappers collaborate with UK artists, it’s with powerhouses like Melanin 9, Jehst, and The Four Owls. This track is more proof of why hip-hop remains the preferred genre over grime and drill, thanks to a fatal flatline of ubiquitous penmanship.

“Is your little Stan’s gettin’ upset on the TikTok?
But I’ll fly Hailie to sit on my big (woo!)
You’re gonna need a doctor for when I get pissed off
You can’t be a GOAT, you ain’t even better than Rick Ross”

Big Zuu targets the obvious Hailie line on ‘Bun Em

Like Skepta’s track, it’s just more name calling and “I f**ked your b**ch” style verses with one or two below-the-belt blows. If Eminem responds (which I highly doubt), it will probably be a masterclass of effortless musings, despite his own shortcomings since The Marshall Mathers LP.

The Verdict

With all due respect, he’ll probably brush it off as another underground diss from someone he’s never heard of. Should you want to read the lyrics of Big Zuu‘s effort, you’ll likely find it as displeasing as we have.

Reactions to the Track

Predictably, there’s been no shortage of listener bewilderment, with commenters across social media wondering if the UK rapper has lost his mind.

One user said: “I’m getting embarrassed, what’s next, AJ Tracey going at Nas. Who tf is zuu to go at Em lol.” On YouTube, others highlighted how the world feels: “Congrats to the UK for delivering the corniest “battle” track in rap history,” while another responded, “I apologise for this disgrace.”

More and more eyebrows are being raised, and one comment highlights a theory: “As a UK citizen, seriously, you think we are even impressed??? This is just a nobody wanting to get big, but it’s a joke. We do not claim this rubbish.”
