Surprise announcement, “Don’t Tap the Glass” is the rapper’s latest project
Last updated: July 21st 2025
During a Barclays Centre performance for his world tour, rapper Tyler, The Creator announced that he will drop a new album this month. Here’s what we know.
Title and Release Date
Despite his current tour, the rapper announced he will drop a fresh album titled, Don’t Tap the Glass. The release will be available to hear from 06:00 am EST (11:00 am GMT) Monday 21st July 2025
It marks the first time he will release a project in the same year, breaking the usual two-year cycle we’re accustomed to just nine months after the furore of his smash hit long play, Chromakopia.
Don’t Tap the Glass Features
At present — despite his bold announcement — there are no confirmed features though recent collaborations at Paris Fashion Week with Doechii suggest this could be on the cards.
It’s speculated that Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, and Lil Wayne are set to feature given his proximity to them.

Production will be handled by the rapper, continuing his self created approach as an auteur.
Cover Art
The cover art was brought to life by digital artist @vastnss using glass box motifs featuring Tyler with bulging eyes, an oversized gold chain, red pants, and a baseball cap.
A selection of images was released by the hip-hop artist’s team which includes a toy replica of the rapper, vinyl, and store listings as well as various promotional material.
Buy Vinyl Copies
Vinyl and CD copies are available to buy directly from Tyler’s shop at a cost of $40 (£40) — depending on your geographical region.
