New York dance outfit set speakers alight with freshly ground bass-led heat
NYC-based dance duo Fcukers unveil their second track of the year, Play Me, channelling their inner bass warp drive. Forged from the momentum of DIY exploits, the two are swiftly surging into top-tier genre giants.
Play Me is a Classic Dance Motif
Twisting evocative lyrics to the will of their drum & bass style motif, it’s layered by lax vocals spread by singer Shannon Wise, with lyrics that both playfully and assertively drive a concealed zest: “If you wanna play me, I, I wanna tell you now we’re taking turns.”

The double-team’s producer, Jackson Walker Lewis, produces deepening electronic synths, adding frontline bass and keys that further strike dance floors to destabilise foot balance.
Everything from their sound, to their fashion choices, and visual aesthetics screams “made in Britain”, echoed by fans of the two and the uninitiated. It’s an irrepressible anthem with the momentum of a tanked-out self-propelled howitzer.
The Verdict
As it gets started, you feel your eyes rolling with a ‘here we go again inner monologue,’ until quick trotting snares take control.
The music’s composure, aligned with a modest vocal delivery, strangely effuses a symmetrical bout of dopamine, and we get what is promised.
Streaming
Play Me is available to stream on all major outlets, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube.
