Westcoast rap legend Ice Cube surprises fans with another album

It feels like only yesterday the LA rapper released Man Down. However, another project has been announced — Man Up, an album it seems will be a sequel to his 2024 rap drop. The first promotional song details have also been revealed (see below).

With little details known except for the cover and a link to purchase physical copies, the long play appears to be a surprise drop for early fall.

Cube posted the cover art with a link to “pre-save” his new music, as well as external links to buy vinyl.

The cover art features the rapper held down in a Gulliver’s Travels like monochromatic scene, screaming to break loose.

New Single ‘Before Hip-Hop‘

The former NWA member revealed the debut single titled, “Before Hip-Hop”, and will release this Friday (5th September 2025).
