Venna has revealed his new song Myself featuring British vocalist Jorja Smith. Taken from his forthcoming album Malik, the multi-instrumentalist has revealed much already, but his latest seeks another corner of the room.

Pursuing an orchestral notion, it’s led by the inimitable vocals of Smith whose nonchalant but engaged disposition echoes its instrumental construct. Blending lyrics into a luxuriating composition, there’s no doubt Jorja is the perfect partner for this song.
Gentle strings and thoughtful horns coat in sync with the singer’s fervent demeanour, while Venna’s blueprint works to encompass its satiny performances.
Anyone who’s played music in a rehearsal room will recognise the sonic nostalgia this song will brood. Its dusty drums, almost wonderland-like cast a diaphanous invitation for those who seek music of a searching form.
