Wiley’s ‘Tetris Blocks’ Is a Moneyback Song, Lacks Imagination

Wiley is a don of the grime game, but the rapper is absent on his latest track

While the beat is okay, Wiley‘s flow sounds standard. There’s a shadow of the grime MC in there somewhere. Produced by Eski Beats, Tetris Blocks simulates the notion of its title, and while I enjoyed some of the delivery, 95% just didn’t land for me.

Review and Verdict

It feels vapid, rushed, and undesirable. Pitted against other rappers in the UK, you’ll see there is a bluster of nothing here. If I were studying again, I would probably add it to a playlist, but overall we get a short-form version of what the rapper is capable of. At the end of the video, we see a link to his website, whereswiley.com—and really, where is he?
