“This song is about the obsession that comes when you blur the lines of a “situationship”. There’s the push and pull of knowing you’re being used but not caring, because lust starts to feel a lot like love. You read into everything and trick yourself into thinking they feel it too because you want it so badly. It’s not about possession, it’s more the way that someone can get under your skin to the point you become consumed by the idea of it being something more than casual.”
