New Jason Aldean Song ‘How Far Does A Goodbye Go’ Is Poor & Pointless

New music from country singer Jason Aldean is a worn out stereotype of himself

Nashville Tennessee country singer Jason Aldean (real name Jason Aldine Williams) is a long serving musician of the sound, but his recent work ranks below expectations for what we’ve come to expect from him.

This time, he plays a long in the tooth song again — nothing is new, but everything is old. How Far Does A Goodbye Go releases as a prelude to a coming soon album.

How Far Does A Goodbye Go Is A Broken Record

He’s the same old broken record. His stale drop may be fresh but it should be thrown out with the old cabbages. How Far Does A Goodbye Go sees the old guard pen his thoughts on drinking too much whisky, saying goodbye and playing a repetitive melody. Sound familiar?

Verdict

Stylistically, I feel trapped in the 2010s. There’s no movement from his tired old tropes — which, is as dated as the genre itself — a thread lacking genius and the freshness Aldean once penned.

Overall, this is a musician in need of saving from himself, before his fans run out on him for good. Oh wait, there they go.
