Karl Sage produces a sure-fire gem with a mix of samples and checking snares
Harvs Le Toad has already won us over — not just because of his name, but his record label — Lilypad Records. Let’s just say the amphibian fan in me stopped in his tracks like he finally found what to watch on Netflix, and its name is — One More Time.
One More Time is a Smooth Rollercoaster
One More Time is produced by fellow lyricist Karl Sage; this fact alone piqued our interest, given his exciting past and upcoming work. Taking a breath over looping samples of soulful vocals, clipped for the listener in an intriguing cycle of rhythm, Toad licks a clutch of rhymes with metrical precision.
The duo’s chemistry intersects between a classic technique of hip-hop beat making and a tempering flow, helping to alter its sonic disposition. The two moderate in a sensical linear motive, served up in a relaxed, albeit perplexing narrative.

Sage explains a friend took the rapper’s keys by accident: “There just so happened to be a rave in the same building, so in the end, he stayed up all night at the bar and later got back in the booth to record it.” Harvs chips in: “I ended up just f****ng deciding to join them, and then I wrote that song while I was trapped in the studio. And that’s how it all came together.”
It’s safe to say these sentiments are hidden in the vibe of this track, one that is both a buzzing mass of quintessential hip-hop accessible to a wide gamut of fans of different genres.
