Upcoming horror movie “Good Boy” arrives in time for Halloween with fresh takes on the genre

What on earth is this movie about? Don’t do this to us IFC Films, he genuinely looks like a — title drop — Good Boy.
When I was sent the trailer, my first impression was that it chronicles the life of a killer dog in the vein of Cujo. But that’s not what it’s about.
The trailer is tearing feast of horror madness, both gripping and palpitating. We all feel for the dog, if not, you’re either inhuman or have a phobia. If the latter, you do like dogs right? Right ?
The Plot
The story centres around our canine friend, Indy, who moves into a new home with his owner. Quickly, our cute fluffy friend realises it is haunted with supernatural beings bent on corrupting his human.
This pushes the bushy tailed fur ball into a corner to fight for his caregiver. The trailer alludes to the age old belief that animals can sense the paranormal.
The Verdict
Hype Meter
It looks great. It’s hard to find a horror movie that will find agreement between friends and family. Good Boy seems like the one to end such squabbles, and reviews appear to sway that way too.
