Norwegian singer Lemi explores a different sound on new single Get Him Gone
Pop sensation Lemi bursts onto the pop scene with her incredible fifth single, “Get Him Gone“. A catchy ballad laced with all the hallmarks of a musical anthem delivers as you’d expect. Taken from her forthcoming EP, the Norwegian singer has signalled her entrance to the scene with style.
Review and Verdict
Made in collaboration with Whammyboy and Robert Gillies, the song is an authentic take on the act of removing oneself from an overflow of emotional toxicity. The lyrics speak for themselves, written to cleanse her life of the person she once embraced.
“Get him out of my socials, Run him offa my phone, Get him outta my circles, Run him outta my home”.

These sentiments are personal for Lemi, whose statements regarding it offer deeper insight:
“This song is very special to me. Even though the other tracks may explore deeper themes, it was with Get Him Gone that I found the voice for this project. It was the first song I wrote with Robert Gillies (producer), and both the lyrics and production capture the immediate, raw feelings of anger and helplessness.”
Given the stylistic and thematic borders at play, Get Him Gone is intriguing, to say the least. The singer’s current portfolio is a lens into her artistic vision, helping listeners understand what might come from her upcoming drops.
Even if we’ve heard the EP through its singles, that doesn’t make it any less exciting. As a complete body of work, each release serves as a catalyst to further explore Lemi’s artistry. Get Him Gone is a missing link in the pop scene and a welcome addition to any music fan’s collection.
Her final declaration augments how much energy went into this single: “After holding on to this song for over two years, it’s finally ours!”
