Fakemink’s “Fidelio” Is Competitive In The Small Leagues

Unrehearsed, messy and lacking punch, Fakemink’s latest sounds like a gimmick

Fakemink is back again with a new single, Fidelio, and we’re still scratching our heads. The appeal must be born of a niche commodity, and the only conclusion a mystery.

Fidelio”: Review and Verdict

We tried our best to like his music, but there’s something not sitting right with us. In the back of my mind, I am reminded of D4nny’sGoodbye to the People’ with an increased tempo. The delivery feels unenthusiastic, rushed, unrehearsed to a rhythm suited to a speaker that needs fixing.

Without a solid mix and master, there’s no way to tell how Fidelio may sound, given its lack of care.

Lyrically, there’s a footprint off the beaten path, but it’s light treading.

There’s no bite, thanks to rhyme schemes that fail tonally and are void of an artistic mark.

“I’m going crazy, I feel so tapped
Pocket rocket in the book bag, can’t lack” – Fakemink on Fidelio

Is this DIY music? Yes! There’s no doubting he’s made an impact, but to what degree? Once again, it’s a hard pass, and an easy one at that.
