PARTYOF2 slam hard on the accelerator with their pulse-pounding new track, “Feel Love”

PARTYOF2 are now one of my favourite hip-hop groups. Not only do they leverage the spirit of performance, but they also mine elements of rap and combine them with the energy of a raw R&B melody for their latest track, Feel Love. The single is taken from their new album, Amerika’s Next Top Party!

Review and Verdict

The connective tissues of this track are contagious — wild, even. With a phoentic energy rarely heard, it summons the listener to invest their time through a production of solid-state longevity. While other rappers are dancing in the scene with a questionable cadence, bordeline amateur, PARTYOF2 showcase a new point of reference for future talents.

SWIM‘s faultless flow and care of pen-to-mic bring his presence into the spotlight, while Jadagrace‘s vocals break up the song, spearing it into a veering spectrum. The duo are known for their creative music videos, and once again without question, they articulate their sound to visuals with a mighty presence.

Through a broth of musical forces, it touches on the uncertainty of love, allowing yourself to open up and feel the intensity of what it brings. Its opening two bars trigger the fluidity for the game they’re about to bring:

“She’s smooth as a new fresh silk press is,
Move with the groove of her ancestors”

It’s a weave of communicable influence and a sound akin to lidar-like findings. Throughout its runtime, there’s a rhythm and bounce led by an episodic, synth-like bassline, thanks to the touch of its producer, Kaytranada.
