The New York rapper drops hint for upcoming album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’
Rapper ASAP Rocky revealed what many believe to be the release date for his upcoming album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’. The alleged reveal has intensified internet chatter.
The Release Date
At a Tyler, The Creator concert, the rapper wore a hooded sweatshirt with the numbers, “01162026”. This all but confirms a release date of 16th January 2025, because, what else could it be?
Featured Artists
We already know some potential features including Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Madlib, Metro Boomin, The Alchemist, and Danny Elfman. Yes, the composer of Batman Returns. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 1Train rapper said:
“Fun fact… Danny Elfman, he just did my album with me that I’m putting out this year,” he said. “He scored a bunch of the songs. We had [The Nightmare Before Christmas] on mute and were just making music to all of the old films — Pee-wee’s Playhouse and The Simpsons and all that.”
There’s also an expectation that Rihanna may feature, and potentially another link up with Skepta.
Low Expectations
With four tracks already released, we have a pretty good understanding for what to expect. The singles that have already been released are, Ever Highjack (feat. Jessica Pratt), Tailor Swif (2024), Ruby Rosary (feat. J. Cole) , and Pray4DaGang (feat. KayCyy).

All four tracks were poorly received by fans and critics. The video for the latter was quickly removed from YouTube and even failed to chart on Apple’s Top 100.
And you can understand why, with a underwhelming use of auto tune and a failure to employ new ideas, it’s likely this new drop will become lost in a saturated market of lacklustre material.
