Legendary running brand ASICS partner with LA based fashion brand AIREI for the GEL KINETIC FLUENT “Crafts for Mind”

In the sneaker world, the most lauded brands and designs are often the worst in comfort and fit, while the best technology slips under the radar. 

However, that has been slowly changing, thanks to brands like Hoka, Salomon, and of course, ASICS, who are undergoing a long-awaited transition. The latter has teamed up with LA based AIREI for a unique and limited run shoe. Say hello to the GEL-KINETIC FLUENT “Crafts for Mind” (GKFCFM).

What You Need To Know

The new GKFCFM is part of a limited edition run with a focus on distinct patterning. Using a traditional Japanese mud‑dyeing technique, each pair is finished with unique markings. This means each article features earthy colourways and an aged map look.

Moving into the performance side of the GEL-KINETIC FLUENT “Crafts for Mind”, the shoe includes classic ASICS’ features, such as their renowned high-grade cushioning and stability technology. 

Only 70 pairs of the product will be produced, scheduled to go on sale on 30th November 2025.

The Verdict 

Given the solid performance of ASICS footwear, their new venture with AIREI adds strength to their portfolio. Though they’re fully capable of pulling something off themselves. 

Running shoes have long suffered with terrible colourways and clunky designs. However, the GFKCFM joins a line of trends hoping to shake off these stereotypes. But, at $2,100 a pop, only the wealthy can buy it, and those willing to go into debt.
