Wiz and Logic hijack a fantastic production, coasting with little impact
Logic and Wiz Khakifa unveil a fresh collaboration titled “700 Club” via Boom Records. The track is produced by 6ix and Jonas Lee, and is take from his upcoming album Sidequest.
Review and Verdict
The production is great; its bass is an underpinning factor polished with lavish synths and snares that take the lead. It’s a compositional work in need of denting verses. Alas, that isn’t what we get from Wiz and Logic.
Instead, we get perfunctory rhyming with little wordplay to underline. The two barely leave the launchpad, thanks to repetitive bar patterns that quickly blur into each other. The only thing keeping 700 Club alive are its producers.
