Glorilla Drops Profitable Yet Blasé Rich Track “Special”

Rapper Glorilla’s latest song “Special” is an old commercial and cliché sound

Sometimes the nail gets a direct shot to the head; other times, thumbs are hit and injury occurs. These self-inflicted wounds are often at the behest of record labels in need of a hit song. Whether that’s the case on Glorilla’s new single ‘Special’ is unclear, though it certainly imitates that sound.

Review and Verdict

Special” relies entirely on cyclical cliché, with a basic rhyme structure at play and a hook anchored by repetition.

Every bar is led by a ubiquitous flow against a backdrop of shallow, social-media-style captions delivered as two verses.

“special, special, special” – Glorilla

There is little to no complexity and it wouldn’t surprise me if this was written in 5 minutes. It reads and sounds rushed, relying more on performance than skill; but even that falls by the wayside.

Overall, her latest outing feels and sounds more like a parody clip from a comedy than solemn effort. There’s nothing I can identify as being remotely close to the title, though it’s effective at drowning out need to know rappers.
