New footages released of Minnesotan woman Renee Nicole Good released moments before fatal shooting
Video of Minnesotan woman Renee Nicole Good has been released following nationwide protests across the United States.
Phone footage taken by the ICE agent who fatally shot Good shows him capturing scenes around the car before Good drives off. She was killed as it happened.
What Happened
Good can be seen sitting in the car with her hand on the steering wheel. As the agent approaches, she says to him: “That’s fine, dude. I’m not mad at you”.
Her wife, who was also filming, approaches the agent and tells him: “Go get yourself some lunch, big boy,” advising him that they “don’t change their plates”.
Another ICE agent can be heard telling her to “get out of the car” as she reverses. However, she drives forward away from the situation.
Three shots are then fired by the agent, who can be heard uttering a derogatory slur “f***ing b**ch”. The car can then be heard crashing into the sidewalk. It’s unclear if the car hit the immigration enforcement officer, but eyewitness accounts do not seem to confirm this.
Opinion
There’s never a good reason to fire shots at someone, especially as it looks like the handling of his firearm was amateur and arbitrary. If a car is speeding away and you recklessly point a firearm at it, what’s the target? The only other option is the driver and in her position, the outcome will always be fatal.
The United States’ culture of ‘papers please’ is turning their way of life into a daily state of anxiety. Whatever happens to the “freedom” values they so love to scream at the top of their lungs.
