Fan favourite anime makes a comeback to wow audiences once again
Lauded as one of the greatest anime films in existence, the 1988 cyberpunk story Akira will be returning to the big screen for exclusive IMAX screenings in the UK. The film will be shown in its newer remastered 4K format, with a run of 2D IMAX presentations; it will likely be screened in a Digital 4K projection. Multiple language options are available, including Japanese with English subtitles, as well as an English dub.
Akira has influenced several artists and movies, including The Matrix and Kanye West, and continues to inspire fans to this day. The story is adapted from the original comic book, which was first published in 1982.
