With a focus on identity, music, culture, film, news, and the unheard

The name ‘Stanisland’ (pronounced Stanis-sland) is an amalgamation of the word ‘Stan’, meaning ‘land’, and the name ‘Stanislav’, a common Eastern European name. As equally similar as they sound, it highlights the idea of how similar we all are.
Topic coverage
The magazine covers topics ranging from music and film to climate change, essays, identity, humanitarian efforts, and mental health, but most importantly, it explores personal experiences and their impact on identity.
Each article is thoroughly fact-checked using reputable sources and clear citations.
Submissions
If you’re submitting music, our preference leans towards hip-hop, but we welcome all genres. Please note that our ratings are exclusively reserved for albums. While we do review EPs, they are not eligible due to their shorter length.
