Quentin Tarantino’s martial arts revenge flick returns to cinemas as one seamless feature — Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
Last updated: 8th November 2025
After years of being dragged through festivals and select parties, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” (TWBA) is finally coming to cinemas — with a few extra surprises.
The Difference: New Scenes Added
You could call this a director’s cut of sorts — The Whole Bloody Affair hits cinemas soon, with additional scenes that Quentin Tarantino did not include in the original release.
The premise of the new release is that the divide and cut between the two films has been removed, making this one long watch. Clocking in at approximately 4 hours and 7 minutes, the continuous feature will feel like an immersively new experience.
New scenes will also be added, including:
- An extended House of Blue Leaves sequence screened in full colour
- Longer anime sequences with an additional backstory on Gogo Yubari and the Crazy 88
- The entire arc and film edit will change slightly to make the film more linear
Release date
The film is slated for a December 5th 2025 release as an exclusive theatrical run. There are no details regarding streaming options yet. Keep an eye on your local theatre to book tickets.
The Verdict
It’s a great opportunity to relive the nostalgia of the original film without the flat, banal experience of streaming. The initial twist in Kill Bill: Vol. 1 left audiences gasping, and fans eager for more.
Not only will viewers and cinephiles enjoy watching it, but it will also be a first for everyone — not just the OGs who saw it first time around. Both first-and-second generation film buffs will finally experience the version Quentin Tarantino originally intended.
