New heist movie, ‘Crime 101’, is a timely trailer reveal

Chris Hemsworth and Halle Berry band together in new movie Crime 101, a timely heist movie with a promising screenplay. The film caters for some serious star power, including faces you may have forgotten about.
The Plot
The film follows Davis (Chris Hemsworth), a thief whose skills lead him into high-stakes heists. Teaming up with him is Sharon (Halle Berry), an insurance broker. But not everything goes as planned for their million-dollar job — hot on their heels is a tenacious investigator bent on disrupting their plans.
The trailer alludes to an ignition starting broth of electric action, as well as characters leading secretive lives yet ready to engage with the world around them. Expect erratic turns and a potential plot twist.
Casting and Production Details
Based on the novel of the same name by Don Winslow, it’s good news for movie buffs who feel exhausted by a never ending reboot saga. A return to adaptations rather than remakes brings an element of originality, even if not fully organic.
The film is directed by Bart Layton and also stara Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Nick Nolte, and Monica Barbaro.
Its runtime is currently listed as 2 hours and 15 minutes, so there’s potential for a slow, but exciting build up.
Release Date
Crime 101 is a joint United Kingdom and US produced motion picture by MGM Studios, a subsidiary of Amazon Movies. It is slated for a 13th February 2026 release.
