Former rapper Jack Harlow is out of control on his latest video and for all the wrong reasons
Jack Harlow once again showcases his inability to read the room. Instead, the Monica vocalist (ha!) doubles down on his unnecessary attempt at R&B. The former rapper took a step to the side — and backwards — to record an album that has not only been panned, but slapped, burnt, and thrown into Room 101’s refuse centre. But wait! There’s more; he’s now filling up the bin again with another song, “Say Hello”.
“Say Hello”? No, Let’s Say Goodbye
Having dropped everything to pursue this ill-advised new direction, the singer (ha ha) even dresses up as what he believes to be an artist of the genre. What we thought to be an early April fools’ joke has spiralled out of control, landing more as a “oh, you’re serious” moment. His new track, “Say Hello”, sees Harlow pull on a hat that is as ridiculous as this — whatever this is — in a video where little happens beyond popcorn being spilled on the other side of the screen, along with pointing and laughing. We’ve all seen the memes, and the memes don’t lie.
